My house was nearly broken into yesterday night when we were all sound asleep. The gate outside was distorted and a lil' damaged at the side. This isn't the first time these people tried to break into the house. 2 weeks ago, something similar happened. The door at the hall was ajar and the alarm went off. I was terrified. The thought of it makes me cringe. Imagine having a guy or some guys you dont know standing next to your bed saying hi to you if you happen to wake up and catch them red handed.. I can't never bring myself to imagine the worst to what those guys can do to me and my family. Oh gosh. This is just madness. My mum told me that there are some indonesians hanging around the area which I'm staying. My mum also suspected some indian guys which tarred the road to be the culprits. Whatever it is, safety is the most important thing now. The other time was worst because the door was already ajar. I could'nt bring myself to sleep soundly again that night. Any slight noise made by a creek or a tud, I would wake up and space out for a lil' while. You must be thinking, why not report this to the police so that they can help you. The thing is, malaysian police are like no-brainers. Even if you tell them, they would buat dunno and worse, tell you to go away since nothing is stolen. But the thing is, why need the police if we have to wait til something actually happens before it's too late? I guess, this is how malaysia works. They love crying over spilt milk for that matter. I have totally no faith in malaysian police. They can even do something to women under their custodies. Their credibility is worth doubting. Are they even fit to become police officers? Not to mention bribes.. blablabla. Now they have extra pocket money earning from the back seat seat-belt rule. I just find it ridiculous sometimes.
I guess this is the condition we have to live in if we're in this country. Now it's worse since the economic condition will be hitting its lowest this year, which spells even more break-ins, stealing, killing and so on. To be wary of mat rempits, theives, robbers, snatch-theives, foreigners, rapists, hijackers, etc. The list goes on. I'm sick and tired of looking out for these things. It's either the baddies are smart or the police is just plain stupid and useless. You choose. The police has got some bucking up to do. Firstly, by catching those illegal immigrants that are accumulating in this country by the day. They're like the bacterias multiplying exponentially.
