Hello peeps! Thank you for tuning in still to my oh-so-boring blog. Hahaha. It's my place of releasing those tension when I need to. I know, it's been a while since the CNY holidays and chap go meh is also way over. But nevertheless, I'll still like to finish what I've left behind since the last post. Pre-CNY started with a blast by us going to Genting as a family. Had a 'blast' there with my sis and bro when I literally have to sit the darn pirate ship which I nearly puked on the ride itself. Thank goodness I didnt! If not, I think those who's sharing the same ship as me would have shared my fair share of goodies that I had for breakfast. Teehee.
Upon CNY, my family did something special this year. It's like my dad has all the recipes and we're each assigned to a recipe and cook out the dish as a CNY dish. The dishes are super 'gao nan du' one okay. Hahaha. Takes hours of preparation. Unfortunately, I've got no photos to show you guys as you know I'm not a photo person. I also forgot the fancy names to the dishes. I know, bad memory. But I think I remember Happiness Prawns by my sis and some red wine pork thing by me. Hahaha. Martin Yan's recipe, dont play ah. Overall, our family enjoyed preparing the dishes and enjoying fruits of the labour by all of us. I've gotta say again, too bad no photos! :D
Then.. towards the middle period of CNY, I went up to KL to meet the ever crazee sesat gang members. Hahaha. I seriously miss our times we had in uni. I must say it should be the best time of our lives? Hahaha. We had 2 crazy nights which are enough to kill. We slept at around 5am-7am consecutively for 2 freaking nights. It's enough to kill us as ya know, we're working peeps now and staying up that late isn't our cup of tea anymore. But nonetheless, I must state here that we are still young and carefree. Even these 2 nights are enough to kill, but it didnt kill me and our dear SYT. I was pretty much still up with much adrenaline towards the last night we had and so is our dear SYT. Hahahaha. The rest I think K.O. ade. Mahjong was our last activity of our gang in lion's house. :D The 3 days that I've spent there was great with the catching up and the teasing of our dear TYM. Hehehe. You know, I know can ade lar. Lols. For photos, please navigate your browser to Facebook and click on malau's pics. I can vouch that in those many photo albums posted, my reputation is tarnished. Hahaha. So many of my hodoh pics in there! Really no eye see ar.
Last but not least, I cannot contain myself but to ask you peeps out there. There's a taiwanese restaurant in The Gardens name Fong Lye (Wind Come), do you guys really reckon that this restaurant is a recommended restaurant? Or just following the Jones'? I cannot help it but being hit by disappointment for the 2nd time. The first time I had was with the elite team members and at that time I didnt think it was that fantastic of a restaurant. Cos we had to queue up and wait for our turn as the restaurant is sooo packed with people as if it's damn nice. At first, I thought it's nice since so many people are queueing up for the hot seats. Hahaha. But I guess, my tastebud is different from the others. Hahaha. Well, on the second occasion which is this time, I thought I've ordered the wrong dish the other time so might as well give it a try again. But I'm utterly disappointed again. Hahaha. We had to queue up this time too! And mind you, the restaurant is still packed. This time, we had a mini cockcroach in the watermelon juice that they served. The drink was already consumed halfway and the cockcroach was being mistaken as a watermelon seed. Unfortunately, this watermelon seed turned out to be a mini cockcroach in the mouth with hairy legs swirling at the top of your tongue. Heh. Take that! Here are the few pics for you guys to savour! Yummy!
'Ka liew' in your lovely watermelon juice on a hot sunny day!And then we asked for a change of drink.. they did only for the cockcroach containing juice only. There was another 2 glasses which they were reluctant to change. Well, needless to say, all 3 glasses of watermelon juice ordered for our table that day was prepared together. But their service is so bad that they were reluctant to change the other 2 glasses. Looks like business is too good for them? Even our dearest TYM has something to say!
I think the picture says it all!Ohh, the drama continues. As you know, our dear malau has her new toy. A huge DSLR camera. We started snapping the roach, and everything we can see on the table. I guess this must have intimidated them to the max. Suddenly, they were willing to change the drink... and to a nice surprise, they complimented us with this ice thing below. I'm sure the gang has alot to say about this particular ice shaved delicacy. Hahaha. We didnt even finish it. To some, they didnt even touch it. I was the only one gorging myself on the vanilla ice-cream on top. Hahaha.
I tried my best to say that it's nice, but.........Looks like after this encounter, we've decided to 'X' this restaurant from our list after much discussion and efforts. Not that we didnt give it a try for the second, third or even fourth to some people... but... looks like this will be the last time we step foot into this restaurant.
Wind come restaurant.. XOXO.
